Irma Collyer-Beneke

I am a South African trained nurse of over 30 years. I have spent most of that time in the Intensive Care environment with extended practice as a Nurse Practitioner in advanced wound care.

I was a basic life support instructor with the South African resuscitation council and provided training for the hospital I worked in.

Working in Johannesburg I gained extensive experience in acute trauma care, and also had unusual privilege of resuscitating Max, the Zoo’s resident silverback gorilla.

My goal is simple: to give people the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to help when it matters most.
